Often before speedsurfing I checked these links:
http://buienradar.mobi/
http://www.windfinder.mobi/
http://www.weer.nl/nl/home/weer/nederland/10-minuten-waarnemingen.html
http://twitter.com/hanskleingeld
http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/
Some sites I wish to be able to visit with mobile phone, but it just doesn't work (to long loading time or screen is simply to small and frustrating)... Therefor I like to share a little tip for visiting Speedsurfingblog with your mobile phone: check this RSS page from feedburner http://feeds.feedburner.com/SpeedsurfingBlog (much faster and better format for mobile phones)
Also I check gmail often to see if I have some nice emails, but on samsung it was to much trouble to answer. And the phone worked great through bluetooth for my carkit.
Looked this morning a bit for the new mobile phone, I guess Android fits me well?? Everything online from me (blog/email/calendre/etc) is google, with the Android software everything should match good. But pretty expensive system this Android stuff... I don't mind some advertisement on screen if it saves some $$$
I expect some speedsurfingblog readers know much more about mobile phones. I would like to do these things on my phone:
- Bluetooth
- OK for visiting a few webpages
- Skype would be great, this would definitly safe me $$, since the number of international calls grow.
- Gmail should work (rather use an app), being able to answer would be a plus
- Most important calling should work, also battery should last 2 days (or with a loader in the car).
- Twitter (I want to continue using but the samsung that died took ages to twitter)
- camera is not important, but a good one would be plus for instant sharing (twitter).. The samsung camera was crap.
Any suggestions, good deals, experiences?? Now the HTC Nexus One is favorite (but way to expensive). Iphone is always impressive but totally out of budget and I guess to fragile for me. More looking to mobile phones <200 euros.
I have a T-mobile phone& unlimited (but slow) internet. I cannot complain about T-mobile performance, good reception even on sea :)
You need a phone with ANDROID! (google phone system). download free apps for all youre demands (for example: buienradar/windfinder/twitter/facebook) easy handeling. In combination with HTC sense you will get the best internet surfing!
ReplyDeletei recommend you the HTC wildfire.
Nokia E71 (symbian) is also a very good phone.
ReplyDeleteNot to expensive and good online performance.
Also a good battery (3-4 days)

ReplyDeleteI checked out the HTC wildfire, Nokia E71 and HTC mozart (the HTC mozart is not in the Netherlands or under another name)
ReplyDeleteBut the wildfire is great and a good price (maybe best money/value android solution.
The nokia E71 is even more interesting since I didn't consider. But a keyboard and very very solid design... Both great features
Have to decide this week, but it doesn't get easier ;0
+1 for the E71.
ReplyDeleteI also have thi sone:
- strong design
- good twitterclient
- perfect wifi and bluetooth
- I use it at home to check mobile websites instead of opening my laptop.
It is going to be E71, will order it tonight :)
ReplyDeleteyou will need a keyboard for mail and twitter..and a good screensize. this one should do the job. I like to use opera for viewing webpages btw.
