Its crazy good weather in the Netherlands, rumors are this 2011 year will be one of the hottest summers in last 100 years. Last couple of days lots of surfsessions, on mostly thermal winds. Even at places like Strand Horst, which is quite inland.
Speedsurfingblog.com is still looking for interesting experts. So would you think it is fun to represent one or more expertises related to speedsurfing, or could you just give information about speedsurfing in your country (Australia, Sweden, Great Brittain, etc...) send us an email if you have a good idea.
GPSTeamchallenge.com is now 4 years online! Good news for one of the fastest growing speedsites.

ReplyDeleteFor sure alive, only not so much time anymore for blogging about speed. It is time for me to get a good job, work hard, earn money and therefor leave windsurfing just for fun for a while. Last year was definitly a lot of fun for the small investment I made, pushed my windsurfing records a bit higher and experienced a real teamspirit. For the blog I hope to get attract a good team of writers for complete view on action, even without me writing many hours per week. But clearly this is not the case yet.. No full action/stories and a host that doesn't know what is going on in speedsurfing.
ReplyDeleteFuture will tell ;). The sport growth positive/negative is based on the volunteers input thats for sure. Not so much on the "recordhunters"

Erik! You have done a great work, but your scope was huge. Like running a one man show surf-magazine. Would be great if you keep blogging, but you dont have to cover the whole world every day. Just post a blogspost a week, about what happens around you. It only take 15 minutes a week!

ReplyDeleteGood thing you noticed my blog isn't updated so frequently. It has been a difficult decision, but basicly I finally started to work and the job requires most of my energy, and the blog simply is a to big task to do also (full story is now on homepage). I decided to stop blogging frequently, because otherwise it would be windsurfing that would suffer next years.. And I rather be on the water than behind the PC.
Today I changed the blog to an offline appearance.
Thanks for reading my blog and also your inspiring blog!! One of the reason to start working is my wish to explore the world. I know we will meet one day in Sweden speedsurfing together at the cutted trees spot ;).
